Call for Donations
The extent of the Ebola epidemic in West Africa, its consequences and the human suffering caused are well known to us from the media. Many official and private initiatives are now working to combat the disease. Among them is the African Cultural Institute e.V. (registered organization).
The Institute is concentrating its efforts on the areas of West Africa in which people are being infected or showing first symptoms of the disease. The donations received will be used exclusively for the following:
Financing and distributing to households/families emergency help packs containing everything needed for the initial isolation of the infected person, disinfection of the locality and protection of those caring for the patient.
Preparing, printing and distributing information boards and fliers as part of an awareness campaign to bring to remote regions and urban shack areas vital information about the disease and the immediate measures to be taken.
Supporting training courses for young African helpers to be rapidly deployed in the isolation and treatment wards.
The organisation, transport and distribution will take place in co-operation with the German Ministry of Defence and the Ebola Treatment Centres in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea.
Please transfer your donation by 31 December 2014, quoting the reference "Ebola Aid West Africa 2014", to the following bank account:
