The latest Ebola situation report released by the World Organization for Health (WHO) summarises that 30 new cases were confirmed in the week to 12 July. Sierra Leone reported 14 cases, Guinea reported 13 and three were from Liberia (19 July 2015).

Progress in research for an effective Ebola vaccine
Preliminary results from Guinea show that a new vaccine is highly effective against Ebola, and trials of the VSV-EBOV vaccine should continue. "This is an extremely promising development." Dr Margaret Chan, WHO Director-General. (WHO, 31 July 2015)
